Don’t laugh too hard, but this is me before my run and me after. As you can see, I was all smiles, but by the end there was no smile to be found in the room. My hair was even tired, if that is possible. I only ran 3+ miles. Well it was more of a run..walk..run..walk..walk..run..walk …walk..run… You get the point. I wanted to go take a nice afternoon nap, but I had to go back to work. That is the bad think about lunch time workouts, no time to veg out before getting back to work.
I have been trying to get my grove back. I am determined to get my grove back! Dagnabit! Sorry for the foul Bugs Bunny language. (That is telling my age) It is very frustrating to want to get moving, but you mind, body and soul are all in ca-house(I hope I spelled that right) to be a couch potato. I was telling a friend today that it is not really about the exercise, it is about moving. That is how I started on my journey to the half, by vowing to get moving. Actually it started before my first 5k last year. Moving got me to the end of the race and I was not last.
The positive side is I can move. I am thankful that I have a body that can move. I am alive and breathing and all my moving part move. That is truly a blessing. I am not complaining, I will get my grove back. Until then I will continue to keep moving.
You Lotus Lizzy 🙂
Just keep moving! So true. Since I have been sidelined from my grand running plans for this fall and winter, I have come to appreciate all the things my body still CAN do. Even if I can’t run half marathons any more, I am so lucky to be of sound body and to be able to do all my crazy fitness adventures. BTW, you looks super cute in both photos!
Thanks. We will keep moving together. 🙂
Go Liz! Haha, I know that before and after feeling :-P. Great job on getting it done though.
Thanks Kate. I am always happy once it is done. 🙂 It just does not show on my face.
That is an awesome way to look at it. As long as you’re moving, you’re way ahead of everyone else who gave in to the couch. Way to go!
Thanks. It is always nice to look at things in and unconventional way. I know it makes me feel better. 🙂 Get moving sounds so much better than exercise.
